Comments Regarding the Friendly ClassOne of the greatest gifts Marvin United Methodist Church has to offer the community is the Friendly Sunday School class. Each week a timely, biblically-based, and thought-provoking lesson is delivered by dedicated followers of Jesus Christ. There is a long history of people who have taught with great passion and wisdom. The present teacher, Dr. David Nichols is no exception. Comments on MethodismThe United Methodist Church affirms the understanding that God’s grace is available to all who claim Christ as Lord. We understand that we live out our relationship with our Lord by sharing the good news of Christ with others through words and actions. One cannot follow Christ without making every effort to provide for the needy as well as offering the gift of salvation found in a daily walk with the Lord. We believe we are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. With that in mind, we practice our faith through disciplines such as scripture reading, prayer, and corporate worship.
